Lower than that and the gas backup furnace automatically kicks in...but the solar panels continue to work, sending unused power back to the grid giving you a credit towards months of higher usage. Large garden with automatic watering: 6 raised beds measuring about 5'x10' with established strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. (want to buy some homemade jam?!).
